SEO Link Building Tips

It wasn’t all that long ago when we as a society communicate with one another through a simple device called a telephone or by a letter sent through the mail. However with the arrival of the Internet all that has changed.

Social media today, governs almost all aspects of our lives. Whether it’s sharing personal experiences with family and friends across town or around the world, social media has forever changed how America (indeed the world) communicates.

In short, the Internet has become our “information lifeline.” And with it a brand new way in how industries both large and small conduct business, moreover staying competitive within an ever-evolving technology.

Today “Search Engine Optimization” (SEO), is the means by which an advertiser uses designated Internet marketing tools in building an impactful commercial website that will increase traffic along with their ranking among the most popular search engines like Google, Bing, and Yahoo, to name a few.

However, in order to achieve that desired objective, the Internet Marketer or SEO Writer’s first task is to plan and write compelling content, with the primary goal of ranking within those popular search engines.

Content thus becomes the most important element within the overall SEO marketing campaign. Without fresh and compelling content your ranking will remain at the bottom. Search engines actually rate and rank websites on the quality and frequency of their content, thus the more timely the content the better the ranking.

“Link building” should also be a vital part of any SEO campaign. While most internal links are created by the initial website, a number are also created by others. These are reverenced as “backlinks” and are just as important in increasing traffic as the content appearing on the website.

For example, another website is so impressed with your content, that they decide to “link” to it on their own site.

However, be mindful of your target audience, those specific groups of consumers most likely to purchase your product and or service. The optimum “backlinks” is having someone linking to your website within a related industry.

Also as you prepare your SEO and marketing link campaign, be aware of your current ranking, using your own target keywords so you can keep track of your ranking, in gauging whether your linking campaign has improved your overall standing.

It’s also noteworthy to point out, that regardless of your efforts in producing a successful SEO and marketing campaign, if your website isn’t customer-friendly and easy to navigate, chances are, your potential customers won’t stay long.
